Ré-écrire les URLs est fondamental pour un référencement de qualité. Nous allons ici décrire brièvement les diverses étapes pour mettre en place l’URL Rewriting sur Joomla 1.5

Etape 1
Il faut tout d’abord vous rentre dans la configuration générale de Joomla et mettre tous les paramètres ci-contre à gauche à Oui.
Etape 2
Il y a 2 possibilités utiliser le composant sh404 ou le composant JoomSEF de Artio.
Si votre site internet Joomla ! ne possède pas de composant particulier vous pouvez utiliser facilement le composant sh404 sinon je vous conseille JoomSEF de Artio plus performant. Certains de ses plugins sont payants (moins de 10€) mais ça vaut le coup.

Vous l’installez ensuite comme un composant classique.
Il faut ensuite placer à la racine de votre site internet joomla le fichier .htaccess contenant :
